A relevant stakeholder is one that has an interest in the outcomes of the Heartland Alliance for Regional Transmission project, including the analysis of approved regional transmission plans, crafting a value proposition with a clear understanding of shared costs and benefits, identifying widely supported development corridors as well as message creation and peer outreach.
The criteria for becoming a stakeholder include the following:
Have seniority, stature and credibility within one’s organization and state
Have the demonstrated ability to represent the interests of multiple organizations within the state
Have broad support of organizations and constituency groups within the state
Will keep peers across the Southwest Power Pool informed about the HART activities and solicit input throughout the project
Have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with others with whom one disagrees
Have a strong interest in resource and transmission planning in the electricity industry, including technology and policy considerations
Have the time, commitment and resources to participate fully
